The Quickest Racist Reveal In ‘Bachelor History
I hope you are seated . Bachelor contestant convicted of racist past. It's become a predictable part of the show's metadrama in recent seasons, and it happened in record time this year.
Greer Blitzer, who won Zach Shollcross' first love 24 hours ago, appears to be posting pictures of pink frosted candies in celebration of Monday night's Season 27 premiere. In the episode, Blitzer apologized to the app on his Instagram story and said it was wrong to advocate the use of blackface in Halloween costumes.
"The journey of love is filled with lessons, and these are the lessons we learn as we grow up, too," she said. “I have posted ignorant, illiterate and just plain wrong comments on my social media in the past. In particular, I used false arguments on Twitter to defend a student dressed as Tupac on Halloween in 2016.
In September, a Reddit user posted screenshots to show images of Blitzer's tweets in one of his replies, in which he claimed it was wrong to be angry at a white man with a black face. “The students involved didn't even know what blackface was, so it was my idea. This was not a deliberate act of racism,” wrote one of them. “He didn't paint himself black because he felt better than blacks,” he said. Is that new? The screenshots have no history. Additional photos from the same Reddit post show a blazer with a Trump/Pence sticker defending Trump's lead over Hillary Clinton on Election Night 2016.
In a post on Monday, Blitzer apologized to the people he has offended, "especially the black community," and said he not only regrets getting caught, but "regrets getting involved." Never those offensive comments.
"Time and age don't justify my actions, but they don't reflect who I am today," she said. "I will not condone the hurtful comments and behavior I have shared in my life and I will always regret saying those hurtful words.
While everything goes so fast, we get to know Blitzer as Bubby, kind of the first impression of Zach's victory. His decision sparked a huge backlash from the charity. We knew he was a 24-year-old sales rep from Houston who spoke of himself in the third person, brought Zach's coffee "straight from NYC" for his entrance tricks, and always wanted to go to Austin. - Where Zach lives (lives!)
While the rival milkshake usually lasts longer than one night, it's often trodden territory due to public "I knew it" reaction. He apologizes and chooses Bachelor Becca Kufre as his future wife. In 2020, Yrigoyen split after supporting Blue following the murder of George Floyd. Last year, Gabby Windy's boyfriend Eric Schwer showed up to his senior year of high school in blackface. Just before the finale, the footage where he proposed to Kabi was shown. (They later broke up.) He apologized at the time, saying in part, "What I thought at the time was an expression of my love for Jimi Hendrix was nothing more than ignorance."
